Bjelin is part of the Pervanovo Invest AB group and develops and produces a wide range of traditional wooden floors and innovative floors with new materials. The development is carried out in cooperation with the sister company Välinge Innovation AB, best known as the inventor of the click floor.
Production takes place in state-of-the-art factories in Sweden and northern Croatia, where you have access to high quality FSC certified wood and highly experienced employees who, for generations, have been working to perfect the well-known Slavonian oak in the barrel sector. wine and today in wooden floors.
The Pervanovo Group, which currently has just over 2,000 employees, develops mainly in research and patents and has recently acquired the largest parquet factory in Croatia, SPACVA.
The founders of Bjelin and Välinge invented the first click floor in 1993 and developed the world's first laminate floor in 1977 during their employment at Perstorp.
A sustainable company
The production is based on simple but wise principles which guarantee the sustainability of the product:
All floors are wood based. They are good for the environment because wood binds and stores carbon dioxide.
We maximize the use of all raw material and each strain. With manufacturing systems you can calculate the perfect way to cut the log to get the various sizes and shapes you need. Any wood that cannot be used as a surface layer of a product is used as a filler material. Nothing goes to waste.
Any material left over from production can be recycled and made into backfill material in new pavements. This minimizes the amount of waste while maximizing the amount of flooring per cubic meter of raw material.
Bjelin collects the raw material from responsibly managed forests where the wood is processed locally. This means that transports will be shorter and will guarantee local job opportunities.
Bjelin has also patented the first 3-layer floor in the world totally free of glues and binders, the first herringbone of only 7x30cm to be installed floating and many other innovations in the sector.
