MONOSIL 600
Art. 500213
600ml tube
DESCRIPTION
Moisture-curing single-component adhesive with silane termination. MONOSIL 600 does not contain water, solvents, isocyanates, epoxy compounds, amines and heavy metals (tin) and is a product free from indications and symbols of risk and danger. The EC1 classification certifies the very low emission of volatile organic compounds both during use and after installation of the floor. MONOSIL 600 is equipped with exceptional
adhesion to all substrates and permanent elasticity. These characteristics make it the ideal glue for laying pre-finished multi-layer parquet and traditional solid medium-sized parquet, on any substrate, with or without built-in heating. It is also suitable for laying floating wooden floors and laminates
in general and for gluing skirting boards, skirting boards, architraves, etc. MONOSIL 600 is not aggressive towards the varnish of prefinished floors and for this reason it does not leave streaks; other characteristics of this adhesive are easy workability, high yield, water resistance and sound-absorbing power which significantly improves comfort
ambient acoustics.
APPLICATION
To obtain effective and long-lasting bonding, the substrate must meet the following requirements:
- humidity lower than or equal to 2% measured in depth with a carbide hygrometer;
- absence of hygroscopic lightening materials in the screed and adequate insulation if these materials are contained in the underlying layers;
- adequate surface finish, not too "coarse" and not too smooth;
- absence of inconsistent or dusty parts;
- absence of loose cracks or other evident defects.
Before carrying out the installation it is also necessary to check that the humidity of the wood is in balance with that of the environment. Apply the MONOSIL 600 adhesive to the surface to be bonded with the appropriate extrusion guns, creating suitably spaced beads, then compress immediately by exerting strong pressure to optimize settling. This operation is very important with all adhesives but, in the case of this category of adhesives, it becomes indispensable. Alternatively, MONOSIL 600 can be extruded with the appropriate gun and then spread it with a normal notched trowel, taking care to "work" the adhesive in order to incorporate any impurities from the substrate which could cause detachments. Don't get them wet
heads and sides of the planks with MONOSIL 600. For laying on pre-existing floors, degrease and roughen them with the appropriate metal discs. For laying on anhydrite screeds it is necessary to remove the surface layer of the screed with abrasive discs (16 or 24 grain), remove the dust and complete the treatment with single-component polyurethane primers or Vermeister two-component epoxy primers. The same procedure (with the exception of the removal of the surface patina which must be carried out only if really necessary) also applies to all screeds made with self-levelling cement premixes, to reduce their absorbency which could compromise the hardening of the adhesive. Before sanding and finishing the floors, it is necessary to wait, under normal conditions, no less than 5 days. This time can increase according to many factors (environmental temperature and humidity, essence ...).
NOTE
If the product is stored for a long time at temperatures above 30°C, the stability time is reduced; at temperatures above +40°C, thickening phenomena may occur.
Do not apply the product below 10°C and above 30°C.
