Oak planks with 3-layer structure with accentuated bevel along the sides. Hardwood layer approx. 4 mm, counterbalancing in essence of approx. 4 mm, intermediate layer in soft wood. Male/female joint on all sides for running laying. The wood has predominantly sound knots, sporadic filling up to 30 mm and closed with suitable filler. Small unfilled cracks a few millimeters long. The characteristic of this floor is a strong color shading and the presence of sapwood.
TYPE OF WOOD: Oak
Oak is undoubtedly one of the most resistant types of wood. Depending on the range, the hardwood offers knot-free or very lively surfaces with large knots and cracks, even with color variations from white to black – all completely natural.
HEAT TREATMENT: not treated
The wood is purchased in Central Europe exclusively from sustainably managed forests, while the cherry and walnut come from the USA. True to the mafi philosophy, the entire tree is used. Nothing is wasted. The resulting differences in widths and lengths underline the character of a natural wood floor.
TYPE OF SHAFT: Symmetrical 3-layer structure with transversal bevel (the bevel varies according to the product and can be small, large or hand-planed) with tongue and groove joint on all sides for continuous laying. Top layer of 4 or 5 mm (broadleaf or coniferous) made of selected quality wood. *Hand planed, milled or deep brushed surfaces may be thinner in places due to the processing. Intermediate layer consisting of soft wood. the bonding with the upper and lower top layer takes place with white glue (PVAc) Bottom layer of approx. 4 or 5 mm (broadleaf or coniferous) made of the same wood as the upper noble layer.
