Description

SLC Eco L34 Flex glue

Ideal for Laying Parquet and Subfloors

Kera Koll product

MADE IN ITALY

DESCRIPTION

Certified organic mineral adhesive, eco-friendly, elastic for installation
resistance of parquet, ideal in GreenBuilding. single component,
solvent-free, with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds,
respects the environment and the health of the operators.

Slc Eco L34 Flex develops a perfect balance between adhesion strength and
elasticity that guarantees safe laying of pre-finished and traditional parquet on
any type of fund.

INTENDED USE

High-resistance laying of traditional and prefinished wooden floors of all formats and wood species on all types of substrates.

Floors:

- mosaic parquet, industrial parquet
- solid wood elements without joint, lamparquet, strips
- solid wood elements with M/F joint
- multilayer elements with interlocking, pre-finished and pre-polished

Elastic fastening to cords of:

- floating pre-finished parquet
- planks
- laminate floors

Elastic fastening of:

- wooden elements for covering stair risers and treads
- profiles and skirting boards in wood, steel and aluminium

Funds:

- cement screeds
- anhydrite screeds
- screeds made with Keracem, Eco or Keracem, Eco Prontoplus.
- wooden panels
- existing floors in marble, ceramic, stoneware or similar
- poured asphalt screeds

Interior floors for civil and commercial use. Suitable for heated substrates.

Do not use:

Outdoors or on substrates subject to rising damp; on heated substrates not suitably prepared; on anhydrite screeds
not suitably prepared and in general on non-absorbent substrates not suitably prepared.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

Preparation of the substrates:

The substrates must be compact, solid, planar, not excessively rough and absorbent.
They must also be dimensionally stable, non-deformable, dry, free from rising damp;
without cracks, clean and free from release agents and dust.
Cement screeds or screeds made up of existing floors in marble, granite, ceramic or similar,
must have a maximum residual moisture content
by 2% or 1.7% if they contain heating systems.
Anhydrite screeds must have a maximum residual moisture content of
0.5% or 0.2% if they contain heating systems.
Cement screeds with high residual humidity (max 5%)
or which have superficial dustiness,
crumbling or weak parts must be treated with Slc Eco EP21 or Slc Eco PU31.
The substrates made up of existing floors in marble, granite, ceramic or similar
they must be thoroughly cleaned and treated with Keragrip Eco Pulep;
in case of high residual humidity (max 5%)
must be treated with Slc Eco 3CW.
Anhydrite screeds must be sanded and cleaned using mechanical vacuum cleaners
and treated with Slc Eco EP21 or Slc Eco PU31.
Absorbent substrates containing heating systems must
be treated with Slc Eco EP21 or Slc Eco PU31.
In general, anhydrite substrates and substrates containing heating systems
they cannot be waterproofed and/or leveled with cementitious and/or gypsum-based self-levelling products.
Non-planar or excessively rough substrates must be smoothed out
and/or rectified with suitable products
such as Keralevel Eco Ultra, Keratech Eco R30, Keratech Eco Flex
or synthetic mortars made with Slc Eco EP21 mixed with Quarzo 5.12.
Before using the products mentioned above, consult the relevant technical data sheets carefully

Preparation

Pack of 6 and 16kg: Slc Eco L34 Flex is ready to use. Open the package, remove the desiccant pouch and the protector on the adhesive surface. After the application is finished, in case you have not used the entire content, it is necessary
reapply the protection, cleaned of adhesive residues, carefully to prevent the product from coming into contact with the air and thus prevent it from hardening. Reinsert the desiccant bag before closing the package with the lid.

Application

Total bonding installation : apply Slc Eco L34 Flex evenly on the substrate with a suitable notched trowel (Slc trowel n.2 or n.4) and lay the parquet elements on the fresh adhesive layer, exerting adequate pressure to ensure complete and uniform contact with the adhesive, preventing it from rising along the sides of the elements. Leave an expansion gap between the wooden floor and the walls (or other vertical elements) of ≈ 7 – 10 mm. When laying parquet without M/F joints, apply a homogeneous layer of adhesive of limited thickness.

Laying by fixing beads : apply Slc Eco L34 Flex in beads using an extruder gun. For the installation of wooden or laminate floors, the diameter of the beads must be ≈ 6 – 8 mm applied perpendicular to the length of the plank to be laid. The diameter of the beads is linked to the depth of the possible irregularities in the substrate. In any case, the adhesive must not be applied too thick to avoid possibly staining the varnished surface of the board. The distance between the beads must be ≈ 10 cm.

Fixing to cords with soundproofing mat with slots : spread the mat so that the slots are perpendicular to the direction in which the parquet is laid. Apply Slc Eco L34 Flex using an extruder gun using a nozzle prepared with a triangular V-shaped cut (dimensions ≈ 8 x 10 mm /0.32 x 0.4 inch) so as to leave the correct amount of product in each cut.
Apply the product holding the gun in a vertical position and fill all the slots. Also apply the adhesive along the perimeter of the room and between two adjacent rolls. Do not apply the adhesive over the mattress. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for sound absorbing loops and wood

Cleaning

The cleaning of the surfaces from residues of Slc Eco L34 Flex while still fresh is carried out with Slc Eco Silomac.
Tools are cleaned with Slc Eco Diluente 01 or with alcohol.
Once hardened, the adhesive can only be removed mechanically.

OTHER INDICATIONS

Allow the parquet to be laid to acclimate to the environmental conditions of the installation premises.
The humidity of the prefinished parquet elements to be laid must be between
5 – 9% for prefinished parquet, between 7 – 11% for traditional parquet.
Before laying, measure the humidity of the substrate with a carbide hygrometer.
Before laying, measure the ambient temperature and the substrate
which must be higher than the minimum operating temperature indicated in the technical data.
In addition to the indications given above, follow the specific instructions provided by the parquet manufacturer.
