Biosyl is a water repellent for absorbent building materials for interiors and exteriors

Provides a reliable moisture barrier on all types of highly porous mineral building materials, both indoors and outdoors.

Biosyl is an advanced silane-based formula designed to retain salts in the surface, preventing the formation of unsightly and harmful efflorescence. Its resistance to alkalinity guarantees long-term protection.

This protector develops a safe protection against water on all high porosity mineral building materials, internal and external. Its ability to penetrate varies based on the absorbency and humidity characteristics of the treated material.

IMPORTANT: Before application, check the instructions of the material manufacturer.

Instructions

Shake well before use. Apply at temperatures between +10°C and +30°C, avoiding very hot surfaces, strong winds or rain. The treated surface must be clean and absorbent for effective penetration. Application with a brush or low pressure airless sprayer is recommended.

For best results, apply at least two coats, increasing to three on very porous materials. The water-repellent effect generally develops within a few hours, but in some cases it can take 2-3 days.

Apply for sections without long breaks (no more than an hour) between one coat and the other. For vertical surfaces, proceed from bottom to top to avoid dripping.

Biosyl if applied to damp surfaces, accelerates drying times. Protect the treated surface from water for at least 24 hours.

The product can slightly brighten the color of the surface; to intensify the tone, it is possible to mix Byosil with ColorePlus in a maximum ratio of 1:1.

Ordinary maintenance: Wash with Mistrall rinse aid detergent diluted at 1-2% (see technical data sheet).

Extraordinary maintenance: On vertical surfaces, apply a coat of AquaGuard every 3-4 years; on walkable surfaces, one coat after 12 months and then every 2-3 years.

BEFORE APPLICATION ON THE ENTIRE SURFACE, ALWAYS CARRY OUT PRELIMINARY TESTS.
