KAHRS TECHNOLOGY

All K?hrs wooden floors are based on the patented K?hrs parquet floor technology and have a multi-layer structure.

The structure at pi? layers makes the floor more? flat and stable compared to a solid floor, even with temperature fluctuations that vary from season to season. The reason lies in the fact that the cross-applied layers of wood counteract the natural movements of the wood. With the variation of the direction of the wood fibers in different layers, extremely durable floors are obtained, which are less influenced by changes in the conditions of the room climate, such as humidity and humidity. of the air. In general, climatic swings are greater in the North than in the South. In Sweden, the swings in humidity? are the most consistent in the world. This has allowed us to learn to tame the forces of nature. In 1941 K?hrs had his parquet technology patented, which has been applied to all floors ever since.

K?hrs parquets are even more? ecological solid wood floors, why? for the middle layer we use fast-growing types of wood, such as pine. This means that we don't have to use a lot of noble wood as happens in solid wood floors.

K?hrs Original hardwood floors can be sanded, like solid wood floors, two to three times over their lifetime. K?hrs offers a 30 year guarantee on all 15mm flooring.

Laying Kahrs parquet on underfloor heating

An underfloor heating, operated electrically or with hot water, ? the ideal solution from many points of view. If you combine underfloor heating with wooden flooring
K?hrs wood, you will not only have a beautiful home, but also a
optimal comfort.

Underfloor heating offers effective and even distribution of heat throughout the floor. The surface temperature of the floor must never exceed 27°C. This also applies to areas close to heaters, such as under carpets, furniture, etc. With a single set-up and without too many or too thick carpets, the floor temperature at 23°C? adequate, resulting in a room temperature of approx. 21°C. This obviously assumes that the space has a normal heat requirement, ie? that insulation, gaskets, windows, etc. are normal.

Some advices

Floors with underfloor heating are warmer. sensitive to humidity compared to other floors. This depends on the fact that the difference in moisture content? in the parts dry and wet floor? remarkable. Underfloor heating increases the dryness, causing the wood to shrink and shrink. In a dry and cold climate, such as in Sweden, it must be taken into account that joints form between the planks from time to time and the planks become slightly concave.

When laying your floor over underfloor heating, the working temperature must be at least 18°C. This applies to axles, bottom and ambient temperature. The humidity? relative air pressure (rF) before, during and after laying the floor must be between 30-60%.

As footfall protection, we recommend using those from K?hrs Komfort with integrated vapor barrier.
