PRYMER PUB 77

Single-component polyurethane primer for cement screeds

¤Description

PRYMER PUB 77 is a formulated one-component product
with special moisture-hardening resins designed for the realization
of vapor barriers and for the restoration of dusting gutters
or thin. It is also suitable as an adhesion promoter for
substrates in anhydrite. ¤ Uses: Anti-dust, vapor barrier.
Withstands reverse hydrostatic pressure as established by
UNI 8298 part 8 standard. It is also ideal for consolidating
old flooring.

¤How to use
Vapor barrier
Clean the substrate to be treated, completely eliminating the
traces of oil, grease, wax or paint stains. Roll out one
first coat of PRYMER PUB 77 diluted with 30% thinner
DMC 50. After 4 hours, apply the second coat
of PRYMER PUB 77 diluted with 20% DMC 50 thinner. After
24 hours apply the third coat of PRYMER PUB 77 diluted with
10% DMC 50 thinner or as such depending on the porosity
of the background. The subsequent laying of the parquet must be
carried out only with Adesiver 501 EP, SIGOL RE, Adesiver
HERCULES, 327 PU adhesive, ELASTIC adhesive, UNISIL (at least
24 hours from the last application of PRYMER PUB 77) and in any case
when the typical PRYMER smell is no longer felt in the room
PUB 77.
Healing of lean or flouring hot-pots
Apply a single coat of PRYMER PUB 77 diluted with 30%-50%
of DMC 50 thinner. In the case of 50% dilutions and in the presence
of very porous substrates, the subsequent laying of the parquet can
can also be done with adhesives from the PARKETTKOLL line (see
relevant technical sheets).
Adhesion promoter for anhydrite substrates
Sand the anhydrite substrate very well with coarse paper
until a "white" surface is obtained; vacuum thoroughly
surface powder and apply a coat of PRYMER PUB
77 diluted to 30% with DMC 50 thinner. Since the compactness e
the porosity of anhydrite substrates is not always constant, it is
it is advisable to evaluate whether to apply one or two coats of PRYMER PUB
77 diluted as indicated above. The time interval between the two
mani must oscillate between 2 hours and 6 hours. Also in this case
for the subsequent laying of the parquet, the same applies as specified for the
"vapour barrier".
Consolidation of old floors
Spread PRYMER PUB 77 as it is evenly over the entire surface
surface insisting at the butt joints and
alongside the wooden elements. Wait about 24 hours and proceed
sanding and subsequent smoothing of the floor itself.
Note: it is not recommended for use on floors with a system
heating/cooling.
¤Warnings
Before proceeding with the drafting of PRYMER PUB 77, it is essential
make sure that the substrate is isolated from the slab with a sheet of
nylon or with a waterproof mattress and also that the screed
cementitious (substrate) does not contain lightening materials
capable of retaining solvents and/or monomers. This verification is
fundamental for the following reasons: a) The vapor barrier created
from PRYMER PUB 77 must concern only the substrate and not
the whole "package" insole + substrate because in this case the
continuous counterthrust osmotic pressure would cancel the effectiveness
of the PRYMER PUB 77; b) This barrier prevents the spread of any
unpleasant odors in the rooms below (solvent vapors are more
heavier than air and therefore tend to go down and not
upward!)
