Two-component water-based polyurethane varnish for wooden floors
¤Description
ECOSTAR 2K is a two-component water-based polyurethane varnish
for wooden floors, characterized by a high residue
dry, ease of application and excellent wetting of the pore
on floors, even brushed, giving a warm look
and lightly toned. ECOSTAR 2K has high
resistance to abrasion, trampling and scuffing
make it suitable for high-traffic floors.

¤How to use
ECOSTAR 2K catalysed in the indicated ratio and mixed in this way
homogeneous, it must be applied on the wooden floor in advance
filled, sanded and carefully vacuumed.
In critical working conditions (high temperatures, low humidity
or large surfaces) it is recommended to add DILUENTE DR H20 in
quantity 5-10% (see relative technical data sheet).
It is possible after 4 hours of application (in this case without
sand) or after 24 hours (in this case sand with paper
abrasive or 220/320 grit mesh) apply the second coat of
ECOSTAR 2K. In roller application it is essential that the
catalysed paint is "worked" very well along the vein of the
wood.
If you want to apply a third coat of ECOSTAR 2K, this one
must be carried out following the timing described above;
however, sanding after each coat remains advisable if
you want to get a more uniform and more superficial appearance
"soft" to the touch.
An excellent painting cycle consists in drafting a first coat
ECOPRIME HS 120 water-based base coat (see relative sheet
technique); subsequent sanding and application of one or two coats of
ECOSTAR 2K.
If you want to accentuate the tone of the floor,
apply ECOCROM as a primer (see relative technical data sheet).
The application of ECOSTAR 2K directly on wood containing
tannins must be preceded by a preliminary test.
Ordinary and/or extraordinary maintenance of floors
treated with ECOSTAR 2K must be made with the products of
VELUREX line (see relative technical data sheets).
ECOSTAR 2K LD.
RECOMMENDED CYCLE: apply a base coat (ECOPRIME
HS 120, ECOCROM, ECORAPID or FONDO WR 306, see relative
data sheets) and two coats of ECOSTAR 2K LD (according
the methods described above) with a weight of 100g/
m² per hand. Underdosing could result in failing
achievement of 80 final glosses.
