Water-based acrylic adhesion promoter
¤Description
One-component water-based acrylic adhesion promoter for
internal use, low in volatile organic compounds,
specific for the preparation of absorbent and non-absorbent floors
absorbents before applying cement-based levelers. Insure
better adhesion of the products of the RASOCHIM line (see
relative technical data sheets) on pre-existing substrates, it is easy
spreading and odourless.¤ Uses: preparation of screeds
cementitious, concrete floors, surface treatment in
gypsum, anhydrite, wood, tiles, ceramic or natural stone.

¤How to use
Shake the can before use to obtain the best viscosity
during drafting. CHIMIGRIP is a ready-to-use product
easy application by roller or brush.
Fields of application:
Single-component primer for the preparation of smooth substrates
and compact, absorbent and/or non-absorbent. It is used before
the application of self-levelling, leveling compounds, skim coats and fluid mortars,
to improve its adhesion to the substrate.
In general, the substrate must be free from dust, oils and greases,
there must be no damaged and inconsistent parts
or not perfectly anchored (e.g. cement residues,
lime, paints, adhesives), the latter must be completely removed;
anhydrite substrates must be sanded.
It is essential to ensure that there is no rising damp
from the background.
In particular the surface treatments of some types of
materials, such as waxes for resilient materials, tiles, parquet, i
concrete release agents and sheet metal oils, must be
completely removed.
Pour CHIMIGRIP directly from the tank obtaining a film
uniform using preferably a roller, the coloring
homogeneous allows to evaluate the complete and regular
product application.
CHIMIGRIP can be applied diluted in a 1:1 ratio with
water on absorbent and semi-absorbent cement substrates; he comes
instead applied pure on non-absorbent substrates (old
ceramics, natural stones, etc.).
After application, wait for complete hardening of
CHIMIGRIP (minimum 2 hours - maximum 24 hours), then proceed
with smoothing using the products of the RASOCHIM line (see
relevant technical sheets).
Once the maximum time of 24 hours has been exceeded, it is essential to reapply
another coat of CHIMIGRIP directly on the existing one.
In case of damage to the film CHIMIGRIP is necessary
carry out a further application of the product.
Cleaning of work tools must be carried out
with DILUENTE DNH 40, before the product hardens
completely.
Notes: do not use on highly flexible substrates and a
risk of strong dimensional movements, on wet substrates or
subject to rising damp.
The porous support must be perfectly dry as
properly cured, but also free from moisture coming through
from subsequent accidental wetting. If in doubt carry out
a measurement of residual humidity with a carbide hygrometer.
Speed up the time for over-application of levelers on non-substrates
absorbents treated with CHIMIGRIP involves the transformation of
promoter film applied in a non-stick surface.
If the product is available in stock, the goods will be delivered within 24/48 hours.
If the product is not available in stock, the goods will be delivered within a maximum of 15 working days.
