DESCRIPTION
RASOSELF is a quick-setting, fibre-reinforced, self-levelling cement premix for smoothing irregular horizontal substrates and quickly laying parquet, carpet, rubber, PVC, ceramics and natural stone. It allows you to create thicknesses up to 40 mm in a single coat with considerable time savings and ease of use. RASOSELF makes any new or pre-existing cement screed perfectly flat, correcting thickness differences from 3 to 40 mm in a single coat. RASOSELF can be used in civil and industrial homes as well as in premises subject to intense traffic, indoors and outdoors, on cement substrates and cast or prefabricated concrete.
APPLICATION
The substrate must be solid, rough, dimensionally stable, having already completed the curing shrinkage, hard, clean and free of dust, removable parts, varnishes, waxes and oils, rust, traces of plaster and residues of old adhesives. Absorbent and insufficiently solid substrates must be consolidated through the preventive use of PRIMACRIL. Mix RASOSELF with clean water in the proportion of lt. 6 every 25 kg. of product. Mix with a low-speed electric mixer until obtaining a homogeneous, lump-free, fluid and smooth-flowing mixture. Leave 2/3 to rest
minutes then mix again. It is not recommended to add further water to make the product even more fluid as the final characteristics could be compromised. Knead the amount that it is assumed will be used within 30-40 minutes. Apply RASOSELF in a single coat for a thickness between 3 and 40 mm. using a large metal spatula. RASOSELF can also be applied using a plaster pump. When a second coat is needed, it is advisable to apply it between 2 and 4 hours after the first application. Use water to wash equipment and hands. Consumption varies according to the desired thickness, as a general rule we can consider: 1.6 kg./m² per mm. thick.
NOTE
Do not apply directly on:
substrates subject to continuous rising damp;
anhydride-based media;
metal surfaces;
do not apply the next coat when the previous one is completely dry;
do not apply in thicknesses of less than 3 mm for the subsequent laying of parquet.
do not add more water to the mix when it has already started to set;
for laying parquet, check with a carbide hygrometer that the residual humidity is suitable for laying
before proceeding with gluing (less than 2%).
for laying parquet, use only water-free Vermeister adhesives.
Do not apply the product below 5°C and above 35°C.
