Description
Old Ireland is an aging reagent for interior wood
OLD IRELAND is an innovative alkaline treatment that gives an aging patina to artefacts, preparing them for subsequent treatment. Each wood reacts in a unique way, offering distinct and original aesthetic results, also influenced by the type and origin of the wood.
OLD IRELAND applied directly on larch (after 12/24 hours) gives an aging effect, while on oak (after 12/24 hours) gives a nuance of "aged walnut". It is ideal for essences such as oak, chestnut, elm, larch, and more.
Advantages
- Adds depth and character to the wood with a distressed effect.
- It is completely miscible in water, allowing you to obtain different shades.
- Compatible with other aging reagents to create unique effects.
- Highlights the knots and differences between the grain of the wood.
- It enhances the natural beauty of the material.
Directions
Before use, shake the product well. It is recommended to apply it at moderate temperatures, avoiding surfaces that are too hot. For optimal application, the use of a roller or spray is recommended.
Pour the solution into a tray and apply it to the floor following the direction of the wood grain, working carefully. After application, you can smooth the surface to obtain a uniform result.
After 12/24 hours, smooth the surface with sandpaper or scotch brite for further finishing. Vacuum and proceed with the protective oil treatment.
ATTENTION: to avoid streaks or damage to the material, carefully protect sensitive surfaces during application.
BEFORE PROCEEDING ON THE ENTIRE SURFACE, ALWAYS CARRY OUT TESTS ON AT LEAST 2/3 DIFFERENT STRIPS.
