DESCRIPTION
Completely solvent-free water-based polyurethane finishing treatment. ZERO VOC can be used both as a single component and, after the addition of ZERO VOC BOOST, as a two component. Produced with renewable raw materials, ZERO VOC is ideal for use in green building and applied directly to wood, it leaves its tone unchanged, giving it a very natural effect. The treatment cycle involves the application of a first coat of the product as it is directly on the wood, after at least 3 hours (complete drying varies according to the environmental conditions) and after light sanding (from 180 upwards), application of the second one-component or two-component coat if catalysed with the specific ZERO VOC BOOST (also free from VOC and risk labelling) at a rate of 7%. In addition to the absence of solvents, the other great advantage of ZERO VOC is that any leftover product mixed with its specific CROSSLINKER, once placed in a perfectly closed separate container, maintains a POT-LIFE up to 7 days. This gives the possibility of reusing the product within a few days of mixing without residues to be disposed of, with the utmost respect for ecology. Once this time limit has passed, the increase in performance deriving from the CROSSLINKER will slowly decrease over time and it will be possible to repeat the catalysis if the use of high performance is required. Excesses of ZERO VOC BOOST (over 7%) considerably delay the complete drying of the paint.
APPLICATION
Sand and fill the floor using a 120/150 grit mesh for finishing. For grouting, you can use Vermeister solvent-based grout binders or water-based grout binders. It is very important to apply an abundant first coat of ZERO VOC (about 100/110 g/m2) evenly with a roller or brush. Apply a smaller quantity of product than recommended to raw wood,
in conjunction with high temperatures and/or low humidity and with the natural absorption of the paint by the wood, it can make visible a greater coverage in correspondence with the shots. After about 3 hours, a Safety precautions Keep the product tightly closed, not upside down, in a cool place away from heat sources. The product is classified and coded in accordance with EEC directives/standards on dangerous substances. The information for the user is contained in the relevant safety data sheet. Empty containers or containers with slight traces of dried product must be disposed of according to local regulations. VerMeister SpA guarantees that the information
of this sheet are provided to the best of their own experience and technical-scientific knowledge; however no liability can be assumed
for the results obtained with their use as the application conditions are beyond his control. It is advisable to always check the actual
suitability of the product to the specific case. This document cancels and replaces any previous form.
depending on the environmental conditions, sand with a fine grain (180/220) and remove all dust residues.
Apply the finishing layer in the same way described above. For high-traffic environments
(shops, offices, living areas) we recommend using the 7% ZERO VOC BOOST crosslinker also in the first coat
as it drastically improves its resistance to abrasion and staining.
MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance of a floor protected with ZERO DECK involves three phases:
- dusting with a mop or vacuum cleaner;
- washing with SOAP.OIL
-application of the protective DECK CARE
At variable intervals depending on the exposure of the floor (approximately from 3-6 months) apply a layer of ZERO DECK following the same methods described above. The surfaces will be walkable again after 24 hours
